Community Garden Project
BPC began a Community Garden Project in the summer of 2014, which is available to individuals and families who would like to take a hand at feeding themselves. Working from models that the Missions Committee has researched and visited, we utilized the area within the fencing of the old tennis courts behind the Fellowship Hall building to create a gardening space which allows cultivation of different food plants. The fencing helps to protect the growing crops from animal incursions.
Dougie Kirkman is heading up this project. His experience in horticulture and gardening are invaluable to the project. If you feel the urge to get your hands dirty while obeying Jesus' command to feed His sheep, see Dougie or call the church office for more information.
